Life Lately
I don’t really have anything particularly special to write about today. Things have been so hectic with work and life lately, that I’m just enjoying a breather right now. A breather to make a checklist of the remaining things I have to do before Christmas and New Year’s. A breather to think about the things I’m most looking forward to.
I’m looking forward to finally putting up and decorating the Christmas tree. With a late Thanksgiving this year, Christmas has come even later in this household.
I’m looking forward to seeing the children’s (and husband’s) reactions when they open up their presents this year. I just finished purchasing the last item today!
I’m excited to have some free time during the holidays to finish off Season 4 of Veronica Mars. I’ve been trying to finish the season ever since it had aired on Hulu, but free time always escapes me.
I’m also curious for The Witcher to air on Netflix this weekend. I enjoyed the novels so I’m interested to see how Netflix will bring this series to life.
I’m super excited for the final episode, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker! I have mixed feelings about these ending episodes and would like to see how Disney completes this epic space drama.
Speaking of movies, I’m looking forward to having a mommy and me date with my daughter to go watch FrozenII in the theaters soon. I’ve heard great things, and she is sure to enjoy it.
I’m looking forward to spending New Year’s Eve under a blanket in front of a fire, finishing a novel and playing board games before watching the ball drop twice, once for the east coast and once for our actual midnight.
I’m looking forward to celebrating Chinese/Lunar New Year. It comes a bit early this year, and I feel like my daughter is finally old enough to learn and understand some of the traditions.
We have some tentative travel plans for next year, and travelling is always fun. I’d like to visit friends and family back on the east coast, since I didn’t get the chance to this year. I will be visiting my grandma on my mom’s side again this summer, and I’ll be glad for the extended time off to spend some time with her and my daughter together. We have been video chatting often so I hope she remembers us when we visit! We also want to try and make it to Monterey/Pebble Beach this year as well, since my husband is eager to attend the event. Of course, there are the short, long weekend trips we may end up taking as well to visit friends outside the state.
And lastly, I have some big ideas and plans for 2020, and I am definitely looking forward to taking the necessary steps (finally). I don’t want to speak too prematurely, so my lips are sealed (for now)! Be prepared for some big announcements when I’m finally prepared to speak about everything though!
What are some things that you are looking forward to?
